If you are new to ASCEND, it is recommended that you start with the ASCEND overview, then try working through the new tutorial, which introduces the ASCEND modelling language.
More detailed documentation is available from the File:Book.pdf, but note that it largely refers to the older Tcl/Tk-based GUI, and the recommended GUI is the newer PyGTK-based GUI.
