It is simple to build a Debian package for ASCEND, at least on Ubuntu systems, by making use of our bespoke build tool, dtar.
To make Debian packages for other Linux distros, you will still be able to use dtar, but you will need to prepare a modified set of files in the 'debian.tar.gz' archive.
