The ASCEND project again hopes to participate in the Google Summer of Code programme in 2011. Please read:
- general information about the programme
- programme timeline
- flip bits not burgers - the student guide to GSOC
We have received strong interest in ASCEND in recent years, and have found that the best students are most definitely the ones that get involved in the project earlier -- well before the selection deadline, even. So, please, if you are serious about getting a GSOC position, get the code, build it, ponder our student projects list, and get in contact with us via the ascend-sim-users mailing list.
If you plan to participate in GSOC with ASCEND, please note that it will be our requirement that you be available to work in a full-time capacity for the full duration of 12 weeks.

Looking forward to hearing from you! Please understand that we get a lot of enquiries about this project: the more you show initiative in getting started with the above, the more we will be willing to spend time corresponding with you.
