Ben Allan is long-standing contributor to ASCEND, a GSOC mentor, and is still episodically involved in development as his personal time allows.
Ben Allan did his PhD with Art Westerberg and continues his involvement with ASCEND ever since.
His particular primary interests are in:
- refactoring the globals out of ascend C code.
- to make it thread-safe and embeddable.
- to make it easily integrated with other languages, and vice versa.
- to make it easier to liberate models from ascend once they are developed.
