Optimization Services input instance Language (OSiL) is an XML-based language for representing instances of large-scale optimization problems.OSiL is highly extendible and presently supports the following optimization types :

* Mixed integer
* Bound constrained optimization
* General quadratic optimization
* Multi-objective optimization
* Nonlinear unconstrained/constrained
* General mixed integer nonlinear
* General nonlinear with user-defined functions
* General nonlinear with xml data (either locally within the OSiL or remotely located)
* General nonlinear with data look up (XPath)
* Constraint/logic programming
* Complementarity problem
* General nonlinear with simulations (black-box functions)
